A Boyce Auto Body Timeline

1962 Darrell Boyce opens Boyce Auto Body for business in a small two stall garage off of Dix Road, where the Jiffy Lube is now

1963 Brit Boyce born to Darrell and Sandra Boyce

1968 moved into the back portion of the old broadway wrecker storage shed 409 West Elm

1972 bought building at 409 West Elm from Broadway Wrecker

1978 purchased the first frame machine and lazer measuring system in the area for full frame and the "then new" unibody vehicles

1984 April 5 Darrell Boyce passed away at the age of 44...Brit Boyce assumed the day to day duties of running the shop

1986 July, Brit is forced to close the business. He marries Jennifer Kummer in August of that year

1986-1988 Brit works for a couple of local shops to better learn how to be successfull at running his own

1989 April 5th (the date a bit ironic) Brit reopend Boyce Auto Body for business in a small rented building in Apache Flats

1991 land is purchased and a new facility is built across from Larrys Honda in Apache Flats

1995 the bulding is added on twice to accomodate increasing business

1996 a new frame and unibody measuring system is purchased named the "shark" by Kansas Jack it uses ultra-sound technology

2006 both older paintbooths are replaced by a new down draft spray booth capable of baking the finish twice as fast

2008 Brit starts plans for a new shop and chooses the present location on West Edgewood

2009 February Boyce Auto Body moves to 2717 West Edgewood to a new facility.
